To be honest - I don’t know.

And I don’t think Cam knew what he was unearthing either when he turned his phone to face me and I got a news clip (full volume of course) of a woman saying she believed a hundred humans would win.

And as I thought my own opinion on this stupid debate.

Cam showed me more and more reels on it.

AI remakes of a gorilla slaughtering 100 humans with no blood? Random creators giving a 2 minute prologue of why they think the humans would win. Scientists disagreeing with initial woman.

And the clips just kept going.

While I decided to get OFF the hamster wheel - I watched Cam exit out of a video of another AI gorilla and saw about 10+ other videos on the search bar feed with 85000 different opinions and perspectives.

Some - of course - were meme-ing and entertaining. Others were using it as an opportunity to be smart AF and educate the audience on WHY they feel like which side would win.

And as I was finally landing on 1 gorilla winning the fight.

My marketing senses started tingling.

I opened my phone notes app and began writing the prompt for this week.

Weekly Post Prompt: What is going on in your field, industry, niche, town, community, world that you can speak to RIGHT NOW as an expert in your space?

(if you can’t think of anything see ChatGPT prompt below)

Now the creators, scientists, businesses, who are jumping in and giving their opinion on this

ARE by default becoming thought leaders or meme lords.

Let me explain.

The gorilla human conflict virality would be great for a zoo owner looking to coach other zoo owners how to properly maintain and grow a zoo..

I can literally see this little character sitting down at his little computer with his beige safari hat and beige Steve Erwin style short sleeve collared shirt with way too many pockets and the matching knee length shorts that also has way too many pockets (think dad style).

He would be starting a little Facebook post talking about the importance of protective measures, spotting stress in gorillas, some stats about their strength, their opinion, and a fun CTA to engage with their audience.

This concept could ALSO be spun into content gold by any contender willing to take a stab at it.

I’m spinning into in a weekly post prompt and newsletter for you guys to elaborate how impactful pulling events and things in the media that everyone is looking at and offering your opinion on it - creates REALLY engaging content and establishes you as a thought leader in your industry.

An estate attorney could spin it into a Facebook post in her local town group about what to do once you die after being one of the hundred humans to try to fight off the gorilla.

A health coach could offer a recommended food and fitness plan to be able to fight off a gorilla and maybe debunk some myths along the way.

Another Tiktok or marketing expert could use it as the opportunity to talk about the importance of creating depth with their content and while you can talk about things that are trending - you also have to back it up with real, connecting content.

One story could be shared on in a thousand different ways.

Which leads me to this weeks Post Prompt.

This is something I do with my clients as often as we possibly can.

These posts not only tend to go super viral because everyone usually has an opinion on it leading it to go viral + be a point of debate..

But they also give you a chance to take a stand and speak LOUD AND PROUD on your zone of expertise.

This isn’t the place to make blanket statements, middle of the road remarks or try to appeal to everyone.

This is the space to say - this is whats going on, this is how it relates to me/my shit, and this is how I feel about it.

I did this with a client a few weeks ago with when big news broke in Boston with something directly related to her field.

(Would give the tea but ✨ privacy ✨)

And long story short - she collectively got almost 800+ likes across two Facebook Groups, 200+ comments, I believe 2-3 people DMing her to work with her.

Not too bad huh?! 💅🏻

(Cough couch power of hiring a ghostwriter like ME to write your content for you lol. You literally just tell ME your opinions and I write it for you)

So this week - 1) pick something news worthy 2) connect it to your business and 3) take a stance.

If you’re struggling to think of something and youre using that as an excuse not to post - use this ChatGPT prompt:

“I need your help coming up with things that are happening in the here in now to write about in my content. I live in (Town, State), I work in (talk about your field), and I believe in (things that separate you from others in your field). I want to write a storytelling and thought leadership type Facebook post about something relevant in the world, trending on social media, in the news, politics, in your industry, or community that I can speak to as an expert in (field). Give me 3-5 ideas and tell me how I can connect them to my business so I have somewhere to start”

There you go - no excuses :)
